Ayurveda is a profound and complex system of medicine, one that welcomes respectful engagement from all, and asks in return that we honour its depth, represent it accurately, and never reduce it to a technique or a trend. Aromatic plants remain central to Ayurveda as a living tradition. For aromatherapists, that is a meaningful place of connection and a philosophy we can draw from to do deeper work.
The Seasonal Body: Ayurveda and Aromatherapy in Practice is a 25-hour specialty certificate course that teaches certified aromatherapists to use Ayurvedic philosophy as a complementary lens for richer, more seasonally intelligent clinical work. This is not an Ayurvedic practitioner training, and it does not confer Ayurvedic credentials of any kind. It is a course that deepens aromatherapy practice, offering a more precise framework for reading the body, understanding the season, and choosing oils with greater clinical intention.
You will learn to draw on Ayurvedic principles, including the doshas, the gunas, and the science of seasonal living, to inform your blending and your client conversations. You will leave this course as an aromatherapist with a richer, more grounded perspective. Not a new modality. A deeper practice.
Learn the foundational Ayurvedic principles most relevant to aromatic practice: the three doshas, the 20 gunas, prakriti, vikriti, and .
An in-depth reference unit profiling 20+ essential oils, 8+ Ayurvedic botanicals, and 6+ carrier oils through both Western clinical and Ayurvedic lenses.
Build seasonally informed aromatic protocols drawing on doshic and guna principles.
Integrate an Ayurvedic-informed perspective into existing intake processes.

Not at all. This course is designed to introduce Ayurvedic philosophy to aromatherapists who are curious but have no prior training in it. We start from the ground up, and everything is taught through the lens of your existing aromatic practice. What you do need is a solid foundation in aromatherapy, which is why certification is a prerequisite.
You need to have completed a recognized aromatherapy certification program, at any level, from a reputable school. This includes Level 1 certifications and above. If you are unsure whether your training qualifies, reach out and I am happy to confirm before you register.
The complete course is approximately 25 hours.
The course will open on July 2, 206.
Once you have access, you move through the material entirely at your own pace. There are no deadlines, no live attendance requirements beyond the optional kickoff sessions, and no pressure to complete modules in a set timeframe. The course is yours to return to as many times as you like.
The two live sessions are exclusive to pre-launch students who register before June 30. Session one covers the Ayurvedic framework in depth, including the doshas, gunas, prakriti, and vikriti, with time for live questions. Session two focuses on seasonal blending in practice, working through the guna framework with real oils and real cases. Both sessions will be recorded and made available to pre-launch students, so you won't miss anything if you can't attend live.
No. This course does not confer Ayurvedic credentials of any kind, and it is not a substitute for formal Ayurvedic practitioner training. Ayurveda is a profound and complex system of medicine, and this course approaches it with that respect. What you receive upon completion is a Helianthus Holistic Arts specialty certificate in aromatherapy practice informed by Ayurvedic philosophy. You leave as a deeper, more grounded aromatherapist, not as an Ayurvedic practitioner.
I want you to feel confident registering. If you have questions before you commit, please reach out directly at hello@mariafiordalisi.ca. I am always happy to talk through whether this course is the right fit for where you are in your practice.
