You already know your oils. After years of clinical practice, you have developed instincts you trust: certain oils feel right in certain seasons, certain blends land differently for different clients. This course gives that instinct a precise, philosophically grounded framework.
The Seasonal Body: Ayurveda and Aromatherapy in Practice is a 25-hour self-paced specialty certificate course for certified aromatherapists who want to draw on Ayurvedic philosophy as a complementary lens in their blending and clinical practice. Not as a new modality. As a deeper way of doing the work you are already doing.
Ayurveda has a complete language for what you have been sensing all along. This course teaches you to use it.
You will learn to draw on Ayurvedic principles, including the doshas, the gunas, and the science of seasonal living, to inform your blending and your client conversations. You will leave this course as an aromatherapist with a richer, more grounded perspective. Not a new modality. A deeper practice.

This course is designed for certified aromatherapists at any stage of their career who want to bring greater depth and seasonal precision to their practice. You do not need prior Ayurvedic training. The course begins from the ground up, moving through the foundational concepts before applying them to aromatic practice.
What you do need is a solid clinical foundation in aromatherapy, which is why a recognised certification is a prerequisite.
If you have been practising for a while and find yourself blending seasonally by instinct, adjusting for clients whose presentations shift with the time of year, or simply sensing that there is a richer framework available than the one you currently have, this course was built for you.
The three doshas, the 20 gunas, prakriti, vikriti, and ritucharya, taught through the lens of aromatic practice. The foundational concepts that make everything else in this course click.
20+ essential oils, 8+ Ayurvedic botanicals, and 6+ carrier oils profiled through both Western clinical and Ayurvedic lenses. A reference you will return to long after the course is complete.
Complete aromatic protocols for Vata, Pitta, and Kapha seasons, with oil selection, carrier choice, delivery method, and home care recommendations. Practical and immediately applicable.
ABOUT THIS APPROACH
Ayurveda is a profound and complex system of medicine, one that welcomes respectful engagement from all, and asks in return that we honour its depth, represent it accurately, and never reduce it to a technique or a trend. Aromatic plants remain central to Ayurveda as a living tradition. For aromatherapists, that is a meaningful place of connection and a philosophy we can draw from to do deeper work.
The Seasonal Body: Ayurveda and Aromatherapy in Practice is a 25-hour specialty certificate course that teaches certified aromatherapists to use Ayurvedic philosophy as a complementary lens for richer, more seasonally intelligent clinical work. This is not an Ayurvedic practitioner training, and it does not confer Ayurvedic credentials of any kind. It is a course that deepens aromatherapy practice, offering a more precise framework for reading the body, understanding the season, and choosing oils with greater clinical intention.

You hold a recognized aromatherapy certification and are working with essential oils in a clinical or professional context. You want to understand why your seasonal blending instincts work — and how to apply them with greater precision. You are curious about Ayurveda but have no prior formal training in it. This course starts from the ground up. You want a framework that deepens your intake process, enriches your blending decisions, and gives you a more precise clinical language for the work you are already doing. You are ready to engage with a profound tradition thoughtfully, accurately, and with genuine respect for its depth.
Completion of a recognized aromatherapy certification is required to enroll in this course. This is an advanced specialty certificate designed for practitioners who are already working with essential oils in a clinical or professional context. It assumes foundational knowledge of essential oil safety, chemistry, and application.

No. The live sessions are a bonus for enrolling before August 31, not a requirement. The course is complete and self-contained without them. If you cannot attend live, the recordings are yours. If you enroll after August 31, the live sessions are not included, but the full 25-hour course is.
Not at all. This course starts from the foundational concepts and builds from there. What you do need is a solid foundation in aromatherapy, which is why a recognized certification is a prerequisite for enrollment.
Yes, and practitioners with more clinical experience often find it lands most deeply, because they have years of client work to map it onto. Whether you certified recently or have been practicing for many years, the Ayurvedic lens offers something genuinely new.
Any recognised aromatherapy certification at any level from a reputable school. If you are unsure whether your training qualifies, reach out before enrolling and I will confirm. I would rather you ask than register with any uncertainty.
No. This course does not confer Ayurvedic credentials and is not a substitute for formal Ayurvedic practitioner training. Upon completion, you receive a Helianthus Holistic Arts specialty certificate in aromatherapy practice informed by Ayurvedic philosophy. The course is designed to deepen your aromatic practice, not to qualify you as an Ayurvedic practitioner.
Please reach out. You can email hello@mariafiordalisi.ca or contact me through the website. I am happy to talk through whether this course is the right fit for where you are in your practice.
